To cowboyboot or not to cowboyboot..

..that is the question..

Are cowboy boots in fashion still, or are they old news?

Do people look at me and think 'Oh dear' or 'Oh yeah!' ?
Sienna Miller seems to pull them off in that pic, but sadly that photo is from a few years ago.

To me they are the perfect sized heel, dont make my feet sore, but high enough to feel like a lady! They go with dresses and tights in the winter, bare legs in the summer or jeans so perfectly!

So what do we think people, am I rocking an old school fashion faux pas or have I started something...? Hopefully you haven't even finished reading because you have run to dig in the depths of your wardrobes to find last seasons pair.

If you are still here let me know what you think.

One thing I do know is that they are far superior to last seasons awful Ugg boot.

What is your winter wardrobe essential?

Todays blog is a forum, and I demand participation.

If there was one thing that you would recommend or suggest to other people as an added essential to your winter wardrobe what would it be and why?

OK then I will go first.
Mine would be these boots. They are amazeballs. My reasons are that they go with everything, jeans, skirts, trousers, and are perfect for evenings and day times. They have a tiny weeny heel that isnt too high but high enough. They rock. Go get some.

So now its your turn.

What is your essential item and why?

The winter coat. Dos and Donts

Buying a winter coat in my mind is a challenge every single year.

The coat has to last you all winter and are often so expensive that you can only really have one.

For some reason fashion seems to come to a stand still when it comes to coats. Perhaps the really cool fashionistas of this world don't wear coats so the designers don't bother with the effort?

The limited options that I see over and over again are as follows:
Number 1. The puffer jacket.

I mean who in their right mind would want to wear a puffer jacket?! I don't think I need to say anymore than that.

Number 2. The duffle coat.

As nice as they are, they remind me of private school girls with socks over their knees and their hair in exaggerated side partings.

Number 3. A Jane Norman (went bust because the clothes were so horrible) style breast coat with some kind of belt around the middle...

..Which just screams that you are straight laced and boring.

Or you could go for a disastrous mix of the puffer and the duffle! Well done to ASOS for this car crash of a coat.

They have even made it shiny pvc material for extra disgustingness.

So where does that leave us?

Well luckily for you I have found two absolutely gorgeous alternatives, hats off to Pepe Jeans and Lipsy for finally coming up with something worth buying.
The Pepe is gorgeous suede, fits perfectly and looks luscious, trendy, expensive and warm.

Or the faux fur coat. This in itself opens up a whole new debate, some will love the fur others will hate it (my boyfriend wont be seen with me when I wear my leopard print variety) but I personally love this one.
It is adaptable enough to wear dressed up on a night out and cool enough to wear during the day with flats or boots and a chunky scarf.

But what do you lot think? Have I totally offended you all or do you agree with my choices?

Post your comments below. I cant do this without you!

How do you wear yours?

Hello! Im a 29 year old Londoner writing a blog because I want to create a community of females who all like fashion. So we can share ideas and give each other inspiration for the most important fashion in our lives...'day wear'.

This has come about because I am sick of reading blogs and magazines of only high end fashion, high heels, glittery dresses and nowhere that actually gives people like me and you inspiration for what to wear during the day!

I don't dress like a fashion victim (art student with DM's skinny jeans and john lennon glasses) and I don't wear high heels every day (Amy Childs esque). I mean anyone can make an outfit look good by adding a pair of heels.

NB. If you are one of those lunatics that wear heels during the day anyway then this blog is not for you because you are mental.
Equally if you think Katie Price is a fashion icon, you may not find what you are looking for here.

There is nothing better than seeing someone else's outfit and going..'oooh I didn't think of wearing jeans with boots like that, I have that exact outfit in my wardrobe but have never put it together like that'.

Even more exciting is when you get home and try on an outfit that just looks good.
You walk around all day and every time you catch yourself in the mirror you give yourself a little imaginary pat on the back because you dont want the day to end so you have to take the outfit off.

So come and join in, follow me on twitter, share photos and outfit combos that look damn hot!
And every single day I will ask 'what are you wearing today?'

FYI- Today I'm wearing back Topshop jeans, brown New Look brogues, grey hooded jumper with Zara leather jacket over the top and a big fluffy Topshop cream scarf and I like it so much I might wear it tomorrow, I mean after all no one has seen me in it today!
